Description: Blue Flag II Innerwrap is a strong, porous mat designed for use in hot-applied systems that provide a corrosion resistant coating for underground and submarine pipelines.

The extra strength, protection and durability provided to the system by Blue Flag II Innerwrap assures the user many additional years of low cost, troublefree protection against underground or sub-sea corrosion.

Benefits: Stronger, More Durable Coatings The high-uniform porosity inherent in Blue Flag II Innerwrap allows the hot enamel to bleed through evenly to form a coating without voids. Blue Flag II Innerwrap becomes an integral part of the corrosion resistance system, strengthening the system and holding it in place against soil stresses, gouging, impact and back filling.
Chemically Inert for Durability: Tests show that, as fine fibers are drawn from a compact mass of glass to form a mat, the increase in surface area is accompanied by a proportional increase in the rate of possible attack by water and soil chemicals. It was found that ordinary glass was "soft" and could actually break down quite rapidly under some cycling conditions.

For that reason, Manville developed a special, chemically inert soda lime borosilicate glass for use in Blue Flag II Innerwrap, and subsequent testing and performance records prove it to be one of the most successful of all fiberglass pipewrap materials.

Blue Flag II Innerwrap has an exceptionally high resistance to the ravages of sea water.

Extra Strength: The excellent tensile and tear strengths of Blue Flag II not only permit standard equipment wrapping without breakage, but also reinforce the coating against back fill and soil movement damage.
Easy Installation: Blue Flag II Innerwrap is available in convenient widths and roll lengths for quick, easy installation with standard pipe wrapping equipment.
AWWA Conformance: Blue Flag II is manufactured in accordance with AWWA C203-91, which sets standards for coal tar protective coating for steel pipelines.
