| Description: |
CENTURION 50-12 is a high quality, chemically inert non-woven mat of 0.50 mm
nominal thickness, designed to reinforce hot enamel coatings used for the corrosion
protection of steel pipelines. Its uniformly dispersed inorganic glass fibers provide
the mat with dimensional stability in both the longitudinal and cross directions. In
addition, the mat is reinforced with parallel fiberglass strands at approximately 12
mm spacing, resulting in exceptional tensile strength.
The thermosetting resin used in the manufacturing of CENTURION is fully compatible
with internationally specified coal tar and asphalt enamels, and allows for the right
porosity to assure optimum bleed through. The result is a fully integrated coating
without voids that is particularly resistant to the attack of seawater.
